The Lord Is My Shepherd: Psalm 23

The Lord Is My Shepherd: Psalm 23

By: Todd Hudnall

Psalm 23 is one of the most well-known and
most well loved passages in all of Scripture. If you would like to hear the
teaching we did on it last year you can find our “The Lord is My Shepherd” two
part teaching at http://radiantchurch.org/node/318.

Psa. 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd;

         I
shall not want.

He is everything
we need.

Psa. 23:2    He
makes me to lie down in green pastures;

         He
leads me beside the still waters.

Psa. 23:3    He
restores my soul;

         He
leads me in the paths of righteousness

         For
His name’s sake.

Psa. 23:4    Yea,
though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

         I
will fear no evil;

         For
You are with me;

         Your
rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

The presence of
God, leads to an absence of fear.

Psa. 23:5    You
prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;

         You
anoint my head with oil;

         My
cup runs over.

Psa. 23:6    Surely
goodness and mercy shall follow me

         All
the days of my life;

         And
I will dwell in the house of the LORD

         Forever.

Our Shepherd has
delivered us from the fear of death.
